Ok, now where should I start? I know, how about something original like a pic of me?
Ok, ok, I never said I was god’s gift to mankind did I? Gimme a break!! Ok, now that your eyes are no longer in shock and you have brushed your teeth and sipped some warm coke let’s go on shall we?
I was born Dec 21, 1953 on a dark snowy December evening at just after midnight. Since then I have traveled the world and had fun doing so! My first really extensive travel was not very well planned as it was booked by Uncle Sam and the Dept. of The Navy. So as most of you know, the accommodations were at best questionable and the destination, though sunny and hot also had some other features I could have lived without, such as bombs, mines in the water that sort of thing. Oh, did I mention the location? It was Vietnam. I met a lot of great people there, many of whom I still remember like it was yesterday!
I have lived in more places than I care to recall but found something good in all of them so no regrets. Hawaii, of course holds a special place in my heart. It is where I went to college and made so many friends and the Island of Maui was and still is one of the most beautiful places that was ever created. Even now after all these years away, I can close my eyes and hear the soft trade winds whisper and smell the soft perfume of ocean and flowers mix.
Since leaving those wonderful shores I have lived from one corner of the US to the other and have visited quite a few of countries in the Far East including Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan. I also spent a lot of time in the Philippines and Bangkok. Then I hopped down under to Australia, where I must say they do have some of the friendliest people in the world and GREAT BEACHES!!
In Europe I have traveled to Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, and of course Greece and actually quite a few others but I was tired of linking (grin) but you get the idea, I’ve traveled, and still hope to do more.
I presently live in Central Pennsylvania just outside of the Capital, Harrisburg. It is a quiet area and I live on the shores of the Susquehanna River. For fun we listen to cows bark and dogs moo, well after all we ARE just a mile away from Three Mile Island …..
I moved here a few years ago when my father acquired Alzheimer’s Disease and took care of him along with my sisters and mother’s help. After 5 years of suffering from this horrible disease he passed away and so now I take care of my mother and my two best friends, Coco (my best friend and wonderful companion Coco passed away from a major stroke on Sept 1, 2004 and I miss her terribly) and Brandee. Now Brandee is in heaven with Coco, I know they have missed each other and I am glad they will keep each other company until I join them. I don’t think you can have better friends than your pets. They love you unconditionally and ask for little in return, just some love, respect and care. How many people can you say that about?
I do not believe in meeting people as a life time love interest over the web. I have found over the years that most people on the web and looking for such a thing are very insincere people who tend to lie and embellish who and what they really are. I have no time for such nonsense and will not tolerate it. I enjoy my life as a single man and have no need or desire to look into empty spaces to fill. Though I have made some great friends on the web, a few I have met in real life. One such friend, Steo, from Italy I visited for a week in his home town of Novara, Italy. It is one of the best trips to Europe I have ever had. His girlfriend Elisa and her sweet little dog Nicky and Steo and I traveled around Italy stopping at some great hotels and wonderful locations. What can you say about Italy in the spring? Great food, great friends and awesome views…. trip of a lifetime.
Not much more to say, except that I have always been self-employed, have a couple of decent cars and love music, reading, writing and travel. If you require anymore knowledge about me, such as blood type or donor information (grin) just email me, there are enough links for that on my pages without adding another one here. Ciao…..
